TORINO, CIRCUITO DEL PINO
Not to be confused with Stupinigi - Torino - Torino 1976 - Torino Aeritalia (Abarth) - Torino, Caselle - Torino, Lingotto - Torino, Mirafiori - Torino, Piazza d’Armi - Torino, Valentino
Description Road circuit that on January 26th 1908 hosted Circuito dell’Esposizione (Exhibition Circuit), an event for voiturette organized by the A.C. Turin on the occasion of the fifth International Exhibition and won by Giuppone on a Peugeot.

The next race that I know of is the Spring Criterium of the Moto Club of Turin (Grand Prix de Champagne), held on March 29th 1914. In May 1914 the circuit was already defined as "a classic", so it was probably used some more times before.

From 1914 to 1921 (with a break due to first world war) it hosted the Italian motorcycle Grand Prix.

In June 1922 it hosted the 4th Circuito del Pino: according to La Stampa Sportiva it was awarded as 1922 Italian Motorcycle Grand Prix too, while according to other sources the last edition was the 1921 one, because the more important Italian motorcycle event from 1922 was Grand Prix of Nations, held at Monza.

Start/finish line in 1908 and 1922 was near last houses of the Madonna del Pilone (close to Turin), then the circuit went on the Strada del Pino (uphill), Chieri (downhill), La Ressa (Sella La Rezza, uphill), San Mauro Torinese (downhill) and back to the Madonna del Pino. In 1908 the road conditions were good, with the exception of a short section in the Bardassano climb and the section between San Mauro and Turin. In the Italian motorcycle Grand Prix on May 31st 1914 start/finish line was in Chieri, at the Ponte del Muretto.

I have no more news.
