MODENA (1927÷1928)
Not to be confused with Modena (1933÷1947) - Modena (1951) - Modena, Aerautodromo - Modena, Bruciata - Modena, Marzaglia, Cittanova - Modena, Navicello
Description Street circuit used in 1928 for first and second edition of Circuito di Modena: on May 24th motorbike race was held and on June 5th 1927 the car one. In 1928 probably only car race was held, on May 20th. Both car races were won by Enzo Ferrari (Alfa Romeo 1500). The circuit first went to Fossalta, then it went back to the town trough Strada della Scartazza e San Damaso. Gazzetta dell’Emilia (a local newspaper) the day before the first race published an odd incomplete map: maybe because up to few days before the race it was not sure if the track would have used Via Valdrighi or the close via Sabbatini. All race reports talked about the first, the latter was never mentioned, so I think there are no doubts about track layout used
