Misano Adriatico, Santamonica, Simoncelli
Description After original proposal was presented, there were some discussions because it seemed to be not suitable for car racing. Meanwhile some more land was bought, so on June 16th 1969 a completely new project was proposed. Mr. Piero Taruffi enjoyed it very much, and he regretted only the lack of a longer straight. Layout of some corners was not defined yed (as you can see on the map)

Autodromo Santamonica
Description Circuit inaugurated on August 6th 1972. In Autumn 1983 corners name were changed in order to promote Riviera Romagnola towns. Therefore, "Curva Brutapela" name was canceled too: it was named after a farmer who had a field near there. In 1984 an extension of the circuit was officially presented for the first time, but talks and proposal dragged out for years. In early 1990 chicane just after start/finish straight (Esse Misano) was replaced by a wide bend, not shown in my map. Besides, boxes have been rebuilt. Finally in 1993 new longer layout was inaugurated. It is not shown here, but it is quite identical to 1986 proposal.

Description After some advance information in previous months, in March 1984 a new extension proposal was presented; it should have become 4.5 km long approx. Moreover, new boxes, paddock, access road should and new tribunes should have been built. The target wa sto host a F.1 GP, replacing or in addition to two ones already raced at Imola and Monza. This proposal dragged on for years and it was presented again in 1986, with a layout that probably was already published in 1984

Autodromo Santamonica
Description After 1984 proposal (that maybe included this layout too), in Spring 1986 there are talks again about an extension of the track (750 m - 0.466 mi longer); inauguration should have been in autumn 1986. An aerial photo taken in Summer 1986 shows the new layout - as drawn in my map - chalked up on the still cultivated soil, a sign that works were starting.

Description Same project was proposed again in Summer 1989 (scheduled inauguration: Spring 1990): the map is the same, but track is longer. I don’t know if new track length is wrong or if a wrong map was published.
Circuit was modified in 1993 without any important changes only in 1993 (but without link roads in green on the map), but again track length is changed (why?)

Description Track used for KF1 24 hours, a kart race held on December 17th-19th 2006. This circuit used a section of the car track, so it had nothing to do with kart track normally used for rent-a-kart. I don’t thnik it has used anymore

Description At beginning of 2006 a project has been proposed for renew the circuit. The aim is to host again a MotoGP race (last race was in 1993), maybe as San Marino GP. In order to adapt safety run off areas, it will be necessary to reverse the direction and to redraw Curve del Rio, Quercia, Carro and Curvone. Track layout shown in my map is shown just as an indication.
