SANDOWN PARK
SORRY, SOME DATA ARE NOT TRANSLATED YET
Description Circuit built around a racecourse ground and inaugurated on March 11th 1962. In 1984 the circuit was completely renovated: it was widened up to at least 10 m, it was added a new infield loop in order to lengthened it up to 3900 m and pits were renovated. On the contrary, the dangerous pit lane entry was unchanged and still on the race line in a fast bend. The old 3100 m circuit (not shown on my map) is still available. The renovated circuit was inagurated on September 9th 1984 with Castrol 500; on December 2nd 1984 it hosted Sandown 1000 km, valid for Endurance World Championship and they asked a F.1 GP to be raced on April or November 1985 (raced at Adelaide)
