Description Main French circuit from 1971 to 1990, in 2002 it was transformed into a test venue with 180 different track layouts. Names of each layout shown here are taken from official websites and are composed using following rules

Circuit Paul Ricard
Description Paul Ricard circuit was named after his first owner, owner also of the famous drink house) and it was inaugurated on April, 19th 1970. During years, many safety improvements were made; the only change to track layout I know was made in 1980, when Verriere chicane was softened. Besides main track, there were two shorter circuits: one 3263 m long was used also for F.1 tests, while I think that the shorter one (2200 m) was used by a driving school. In 1980s speed at Courbe de Signes was too high, so in 1986 main track was shorten to 3800 m - 2.362 mi (non shown on my maps), nevertheless long course was still in use

Circuit Paul Ricard - Circuit Club
Description In May 1992 a new track built inside Castellet circuit was introduced to the press. It was a circuit similar to a club course and it was considered as the first step of a renewal of the whole track. This circuit should have been used mainly by Oreca, that in 1991 used 3800 m circuit for 80 days in the whole year.

I don’t know the history of this track; however you can see it on Google Local aerial photo, along external central section of Mistral straight. It seems that some section are missing: have they never been built or have they been removed? Map drawn here it’s in perspective.

HTTT - High Tech Test Track
Description In 2000 Mr. Bernie Ecclestone bought the circuit and in 2002 it was renewed ad reopened as test venue, suitable even for secret tests. At first it should have had up to 40 different track combinations, but later they become 180 as more links were added.
2043m track is used by Club or low-power cars or to simulate slow track; 3807 m track (later remeasured, it’s slightly shorter) is very similar to the one used for F.1 French GP from 1986 to 1990. Please note that the 4895 m one is not included in the final list of 180 layouts.

Chicane Bendor has been replaced by a bend; Virage Du Pont, du Hotel, du Bendor and du Lac has been changed. Signes bend has not been changed, but there is also an alternate slower bend. New track comnbinations has been added.
