Nürburgring
Description Even before Lauda’s accident in 1976 this circuit was considered too dangerous and they were looking for a solution. After the accident, this probles was much more urgent. In order to mantain GP, organizators thought to shorten the circuit with a 5-years renowal project. Bend behind the box should have been changed in order to have more room for paddoc. Probably Betonschleife, the 2238 m short circuit, would have remained unchanged, even if this is not clear on the original map.
