HUN - HUNGARY |
BUDAPEST VÁROSLIGET |
Description |
After some rumors also about different country in East Europe, on December 9th 1983 Hungary officially required to FISA to host a Formula 1 GP. At first, it seemed that the circuit would have been a street track at Városliget. Start finish street (Dózsa György út) is very wide and it can easily host track and pits. Main straight should have been nearly 1 km long. Track then should have gone on close to museums and the zoo. Works to do were not much, but too many trees should have cut down. For this and some more reasons, after some weeks this proposal was abandoned and replaced with a new proposal at Népliget (People Park) |
