VELENCEI-TÓ |
Description |
In 1974, mail and transportation vice-minister, Deszò Kiss, proposed a couple of permanent circuit to be built on the hill around Lake Velence. One of them was very close to be built, but it wasn’t. A decade later there were rumors about a Hungarian F.1 GP. In January 1985, Budapest town council forbade to use Népliget Park (People Park): in that moment again a permanent circut was proposed around Lake Velence. The proposal was dropped because too far from Budapest and it was replaced by the circuit later known as Hungaroring. I don’t know what proposal shows my map, I think the last dated 1985. I have no more details, because autó-motor magazine is writte in Hungarian, language that I can’t understand. |
