CESENATICO | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Description | Street circuit, used from 1958 to 1971 for Italian Motorbike Championships. It also hosted car races: Formula Junior raced here 5 times from 1959 to 1963. On April 18th 1971 a motorbike race, XIII Circuito Internazionale Riviera di Cesenatico - Trofeo d’Oro Shell (13th International Circuit Coast of Cesenatico - Shell Golden Trophy), was raced on the green circuit shown on my map. As sources are quite confused and they report different track length, probably in previous years different track layouts were used

Description | On Sunday April 4th 2004 a commemoration of the old circuit was organized. Start/finish line was - as in traditional circuit - in front of Grand Hotel, in Piazza A.Costa; then the circuit went on Viale Carducci. Here there was the fanous Curva Kamikaze (Kamikaze corner); then it went on via dei Mille and to finish line through via Roma.
