Description

I don’t know when this kart track was opened. It had been closed for a long time after an accident occurred with a hired kart. After reopening, it had problems because of noise. Now (2008) the circuit is open and sometimes it hosts some minor races.

Alessandro Di Gregorio’s notes (dated 2005; translation into English is mine):
Portale Cartografico Nazionale aerial photo (taken on May 1998, I couldn’t look at it because of few time) still shows the original layout, probably no longer operational. Looking carefully on the photo, you can notice at top left a corner with an extension in the grass, that seems to end with a corner. Maybe a first abandoned step of this proposal?
Surfing on italiankart.com forum (in Italian), I found a member who wrote: «Pista Sprint kart at Calleri and Viverone (and sometime kartodromo Nicese, now Pista Winner at Nizza Monferrato) were the only 2 kart tracks approved in Piemonte. I raced several times and once I scored a pole position, but in Spring 1989 it was closed because of noise problems». Nevertheless many kart drivers tells they still drive there, with 50/60 cc, 100 cc and 125 cc. Somebody says that thay have just redone curbs (now are flatter) and the asphalt.

Pista Sprint
Description	In Summer 1990 a proposal was made for a complete renovation of the track, as you can see on the maps. Main straight would have been 2 m wider, all corners layout would have changed. Tribunes and pits would have been renovated too. Works should have started at the beginning of July and inauguration should have been at the end of August or beginning of September 1990. It was never developed
