NZL - NEW ZEALAND |
AUCKLAND |
Description |
In 2004 Auckland was proposed for hosting in April 2006 the only race in New Zealand of Australian V8 Supercar Championship. It should have replaced the traditional race at Pukekohe and the race at Canberra, Australia, canceled by organizators because it was too expensive. The circuit should have been around Victoria Park, where with few works it should have been possible to host a race. Quite soon, on November 24th 2004, this proposal was canceled because of many traffic problem caused for closing some important streets. |
