Description | Track inaugurated on November 4th 1961 and in few years became the most popular South African circuit. In 1968 its length was slighly changed, but I think because of minor changes. In a period when many circuits were charged for their dangerousness, Stewart in 1968 described Kyalami as a safe track very well managed. It hosted F.1 continuosly up to 1985 (in 1981 it was a non championship event), then it was canceled because of political boycott of South Africa due to apartheid.
