Description Street circuit, it will be inaugurated on May 11th-13th 2006 with Champ Car and ALMS races under the lights. It’s the first Champ Car race under the lights not on an oval circuit after the race at Burke Lakefront Airport, Cleveland, July 5th 2003. The track will be lightened by 18 stadium lights; start is scheduled at 8.00 PM local time. Paddock will be inside Reliant Arena. Approx 150,000 spectators are expected

Description During ALMS practice they found that Corner 2 was too dangerous, so a temporary chicane has been added on the previous straight. As the circuit with chicane is shorter than the one without it (according to layout, the circuit with chicane should be longer), maybe some more minor changes were made and/or they remeasured track length.
